About the Doctors

T. Richard Perrine, DDS, MS

Dr. Rick Perrine has been practicing orthodontics for 37 years.  Dr. Perrine graduated from West Virginia University Dental School and went on to complete his orthodontic specialty training and earned his Master of Dental Science degree at West Virginia University. He served in the USAF 1971-73. Dr. Perrine is board certified through the American Board of Orthodontics.  In addition, he is a past president of Wayne Dental Society and Prima Dental Study Club.


Cynthia S. Wiley, DMD, MDS

Dr. Cindy Wiley has been working in the dental profession since she was a teenager and enjoys every minute of it! She started as a Certified Dental Assistant and then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She practiced as a Hygienist before returning to dental school. Upon graduation, Dr. Wiley practiced General Dentistry in the United States Air Force. She deployed to Saudi Arabia with Seymour Johnson AFB 1990-91 for Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Dr. Wiley earned the rank of Major before returning to the University of Pittsburgh to complete a three year residency for Orthodontic Specialty Training and earn a Master of Dental Science Degree. Dr. Wiley loves the dental profession and believes in giving back. She is involved in several professional and civic organizations. She is the Past President of the Board of Directors of the Wayne County Health Department and Past President of the Wayne County Dental Society. She is Past President of the North Carolina Dental Society Fifth District.  In January 2016, she was elected by her fellow orthodontists to serve as President for the North Carolina Association of Orthodontists.  Dr. Wiley served for several years as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union.  Dr. Wiley serves as a Mentor for dental students at UNC and ECU Dental Schools. She was selected by her peers as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and also as a Fellow in the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Wiley is licensed to practice dentistry in both North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Her other interests include Wounded Warriors Project and Animal Rescue.

Christopher C. Potts, DMD

Dr. Chris Potts was born and raised in Goldsboro. After graduating from Goldsboro High School, Dr. Potts attended North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Potts was accepted to dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Potts was then accepted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for his orthodontic specialty training. Dr. Potts has served as past president of the Wayne County Dental Society.
